Well, I have the same problem on mine, I actually upgraded mine from 9.1 to 9.2 instead of starting over. It's a sony, can't recall the model offhand but it's about two years old now. 512mb ram, 30gb hd, dvd/cdrw, 15" screen. Pretty nice little box. I can however get frozen bubbles to play but sometimes it takes four or five tries before the screen changes res correctly w/o screwing up. On Thu, 27 Jan 2005 13:47:00 -0500, Carl E. Any ideas?

Yup ...
Laptop year, make & model would be nice to know along with the display type, size & resolution. Are you running the 'stock' graphics chip/card that came with it or have you upgraded? If upgraded, to what?
