I simply split the long line ito several.. I added them five instances / line rpm ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/ SuSE/9.0-i386 update security base kde gnome2 rpm ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/ SuSE/9.0-i386 xfree86 usr-local-bin suser-rbos update-prpm
etc etc etc.. Dunno if thats the best way, but it seems to work for me..

Actually I just removed suse-people and mantel-kernel and it worked. I guess I was just barely over the limit. Thanks, Jerome
