I don't quite get your point....
The question was.... "How do I get a different wallpaper on each desktop". I have told the asking party how to do it based on the naming conventions used in KDE 4.3. Now, maybe after doing the above you are saying you no longer have 4 desktops but 4 activities? No matter what the names are one gets what they want in the end.
In KDE 4.4 you have both Activities and Desktops. Activities does not replace Desktops.
I didn't think I had.... But, if I did I didn't mean to suggest that....
Yet, what is currently confusing is that you can have multiple activities on a single desktop and/or you can have a different activity for each desktop. You can configure your mouse wheel to switch desktops or switch activities. Too bad there is no easy way to determine if you have currently switched to an certain activity within multiple activities of a single desktop with a separate activity.
This manifests itself when you "zoom out" and are presented with multiple screens that could be any one of the class mentioned above.
But, as you note, this will change again in 4.5...and all will be right with the world....or not. :-)
But then, pigs may also fly..... 8-) BC -- "If it weren't for electricity we'd be all watching televion by candlelight." George Gobel -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
