I have a new Epson Perfection 1260 flatbed scanner, and I have some problem to install it. I am using Suse 8.o Prof. When I start YaST it can not find my scanner, so I try to configure with YaST, I can not find any Epson 1260 on the list, so I use 1240. If I try to use the Test button, YaST freeze, but if I continue without the Test, my scanner works, but When I start my system the next time, there is no scanner. My SuSE have forgotten that I have a scanner.

Hello, You can try iscan which is a frontend for Epson scanners under Linux. It allowed my scanner a Epson 1250 Photo to be able to use the transparancy adapter. I cannot remember the exact web site but do a google search and you should be able to get the .rpm. Works good for me. You may need to adjust the epson.conf file in sane for it to work in USB. -- Marshall "Nothing is impossible, We just do not have all the anwsers to make the impossible, possible."
