I use apt-get for SUSE 10.0 and don't have any problems.
My sources.list has just the DVD, SUSE updates, packman, and suser-guru, nothing else. In particular, I don't use suser-rbos since I had some version problems when I installed apt tools from there, and never found the time to investigate that. Just today came updates for qt3 (SUSE security) and w32codec-all (packman).

PS: Well, there is a problem with the rpmkey package from Packman not installing the GPG keys properly, but I was able to patch that locally.
