"Some Unix-style file systems such as ReiserFS omit an inode table"
To be an absolutely linguist reductionist, yes that is true; a B+ tree list is NOT the same as a table.

"ReiserFS doesn't use inodes."
It can't NOT. The information, the 'meta-data', ha to be there, has to be available, otherwise the file could not be accessed. That you can do a 'stat()' on a file on a ReiserFS proves that it is there.

Again, being an absolutely linguist reductionist, I would say that "ReiserFS does not internally represent inodes in a tradition manner". -- A: Yes. > Q: Are you sure? >> A: Because it reverses the logical flow of conversation. >>> Q: Why is top posting frowned upon? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
