I decided the easiest thing was to use an inexpensive ChromeCast to access Netflix and Spotify. Everything else was too much fiddling with things for what one got.
yes, I can do that, but I don't completely understand chromecast working. Is the device streaming directly from the net or do it need a computer (openSUSE?) or a smartphone as source?
It streams to the ChromeCast device. You need a phone or computer to control it. You pair the phone with the chromecast unit(s). Then, when you cast something, it lists the ones it currently finds, and you send the content there. In the phone/tablet, you install the Netflix app. When you view something, you have the option to cast it somewhere else to view it. Really simple. I believe that in the Chrome browser you can cast anything that is shown in the browser. I have not tried that. I use my phone as the remote to control the ChromeCast device. It really works well. -- Roger Oberholtzer -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
