I tried to Partion as suggested, but when I wanted to install the Premium package there was less then 5pace warning. Is there a way of disabling some packages before installation? I do not need games or the help books in German, they seem to take up a lot of room. Thanks R. Weisbloom rweis@sympatico.ca ----------

I can boot from disk. Then I followed the instructions, partions, change type, format, the when it came to mount point and file systems I got lost. The book does not seem to explain it very well. I want the computer to only run Linux as I want to learn UNIX, X-Windows, Perl, etc. I had NT work Station running before with no problem, server and workstation work fine over network.
Normally you would have a the following mount points:/ <- this should be around 200MB, although mine is at 300MB. /usr <- most of your programs go here, so give it as much room as possible. Finally, a swap partition. It can be up to 128MB in size.
That should get the installation going for you. After the install is done go into the /usr/doc/howto directory and read like a mad man. ;-)
