Yes I am trying OO 1.1 beta2 after having problem with the SuSE 8.2 rpm but it has the same problem. If you run a cpu intensive background task like SETI@Home, Folding@Home, distributed.net? If you do and it works for you what is your memory settings. I have 512M of RAM and I am not using the swap file yet and it still is dog slow if I am running a nice 19 that uses every CPU cycle it can grab. What is ood is that if I look at the KDE System Guard the OpenOffice task is nice 0. I would be interested if it happens to you. On Sunday 01 June 2003 06:22 am, Eko Budiharto wrote:
Hi Paul, Can I ask what version of your OpenOffice? If it is 1.0.1. It is very slow. I suggest you to try OpenOffice 1.1 beta2. It is much faster. It much faster if you adjust the memory that it uses to allocate to load the application. I think to adjust the memory it is in the "Tools" and then "Option".
