filed a bug under bugzilla #1159688 <https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1159688>, under networking, because I didn't see a section for mirrors. But I have a feeling that networking isn't the right place either.
Best on b.o.o. is component "Infrastructure" in product "openSUSE.org", however....
I'm assuming the right way to report a bug in the mirror system is to file a bug, but should there be a section called mirrors, or is networking the right section because the network mirrors are messed up?
I'm not sure which way is "THE right way", but IIRC all the following are better for reporting mirror bugs: mirror@opensuse.org https://progress.opensuse.org/projects/opensuse-admin/issues/new admin@opensuse.org (which will generate a new issue at progress.o.o) Before reporting you should check if it's already been reported: https://progress.opensuse.org/projects/opensuse-admin/issues https://status.opensuse.org/ irc://freenode/#opensuse-admin
How can I download from 'download.opensuse.org' and not get shunted off to some random mirror that may or may not be up to day. One would certainly think a mirror could have downloaded a release from the 16th (this being the 20th)....
Pick a mirror from those listed on https://mirrors.opensuse.org/ instead of letting mirrorbrain (d.o.o.) pick for you. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is religion, not science.
