Hi:
I uninstalled the SuSE broken Mozilla package (8.1).
Then I installed the vanilla one from Mozilla.org. (Why the heck did Suse bother to break it in the first place, I dunno...)
They like to make your life a misery. They appear to be a hardworking team building a beautifully crafted top-whack Linux distribution, but really they're paid by the $YOUR_FAVOURITE_CONSPIRACY_GROUP to spread fear, confusion and dismay around the globe. You should definitely sue. Try asking for a few hundred thousand extra to reflect your emotional distress.
When I switched my printer subsystem from LPRng to CUPS, the darned Yast reinstalled SuSE's Mozilla on top of mine, breaking everything. I had to do the Mozilla install all over again.
How can this be fixed?
I am wondering this also because I am considering playing with Mplayer, which I hear SuSE has also crippled or done something goofy to it, so I want to try a vanilla one.
I'm sure you heard that from an impeccable source, right? Their crack crippling and goofescence teams worked deep into the night to ruin it for you. Remember, they're not just stupid, they're evil too. They have no reflections in mirrors and hairy palms.
Thanks for comments.
