info files are best read using emacs in my opinion (if you have a year to spare, I heartily recommend learning to use emacs:-)
If you do not like the info program now, you should have seen it before they broke down and added cursor key support (now THAT was painful -- and is probably why so many old-timers dislike info so much.)
Or type "info:/<your program> in the url bar of konqueror. No learning curve involved anymore. If "info:/" is too long use "##<your program>" e.g.: info:/groff -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless
