Is anyone using the Epson Stylus C84 with SUSE 9.0? If so, can you get the max. res. of 5760 x 1440? Whats your impression of this printer and any problems?
Gimp-Print v4.3.25 has support for the C84 with the following resolutions available: *Resolution 360x180sw/360 x 180 DPI Draft: "<>setpagedevice" *Resolution 360sw/360 DPI: "<>setpagedevice" *Resolution 720x360sw/720 x 360 DPI: "<>setpagedevice" *Resolution 720sw/720 DPI: "<>setpagedevice" *Resolution 1440x720sw/1440 x 720 DPI: "<>setpagedevice" *Resolution 2880x720sw/2880 x 720 DPI: "<>setpagedevice" *Resolution 1440x1440sw/1440 x 1440 DPI: "<>setpagedevice" *Resolution 2880x1440sw/2880 x 1440 DPI: "<>setpagedevice" NOTE: I have a Stylus Photo 925 and print photos at 1440x720 and achieve excellent results. The only difference I can see at higher resolutions is the use of more ink and longer drying times. I also find that the Ilford papers present the best image at a considerable savings cost wise. The paper is generally available at Sam's Club. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org
