I only see 2 things in preferences related to wrap. In Message Display, "Wrap text to fix window width" is selected and in Composition, "Wrap plain text messages at" is set to 72.
mail.wrap_long_lines;true mailnews.wraplength;72 plain_text.wrap_long_lines;true mailnews.send_plaintext_flowed;true
If that's what those settings result in, then yes.

Actually, I use Seamonkey for most of my email. I prefer it to Thunderbird.
