I didn't have any difficulty doing this older versions of rvplayer... the newest versions hang when netscape tries to call a ram, ra file, etc... I also was using the evaluation version of OSS/Linux when this was working correctly... What I do is get the URL for the ram, ra and enter into the Open Location and type the URL in... It doesn't automatically keep a history or bookmark file...
I think there is a small problem in the way the readme describes the installation as a plug in. It worked for me in that way.
When I started netscape there was an entry for RealAudio in the application(where you enter the helper applications). Description: RealAudio MIMEType: audio/x-pn-realaudio Suffixs: ra,ram
Application: rvplayer
That worked for me. I couldn't get it working with the way how it was described in the Readme. I had exactly the same problem that you have. I hope it helps and you can understand my english.
Hi, your english is great. Better than alot of people I know.:-)
I also should mention that you have to get the RVplayer somewhere in your path, for it to auto-launch from Netscape.
