SuSE Linux 6.1 (i386) - Kernel 2.2.7 Hi, I want to updgrade the Java distribution from java version "1.1.7" to the JDK1.2.2 from Sun. I extracted the file jdk-1_2_2_006-linux-i386.tar to /usr/lib/jdk1.2.2 Have altered the symlink /usr/lib/java to point to the new install. Now if I try something simple I get the following error: Garry@rustic:~ > /usr/lib/java/bin/java -version /usr/lib/java/bin/java: /bin/realpath: No such file or directory /usr/lib/java/bin/java: /bin/realpath: No such file or directory java was not found in /bin/i386/green_threads/java I have installed the same file onto a SuSE 7.0 Professional system and the above command works fine. Any ideas why the install on SuSE6.1 might be failing?? Why is the file not installed as expected?? (The previous 1.1.7 version still works as expected on SuSE6.1) Many thanks in advance Happy New Year! regards Garry
