Is anyone else having issues printing to network printers (I have not tried local ones) with cups on 11.0 beta (Same problem on beta 1 and 2)
I have tried defining the remote printer as a raw socket, lpd port and ipp and I get a very similar error in each case. Same configuration works fine on 10.3

Were you printing a PDF? If so, it is bad.
No. Its worse. That was the log of trying to print a test page from yast!
It is neither PDF nor PostScript with DSC comments. The YaST printer testpage is 100% PostScript level 1 compliant plain PostScript without DSC comments. Because there are no DSC comments at all, the above cupsd message is a bit misleading but for plain PostScript without DSC comments certain CUPS featutes (like selecting certain pages and/or number-up printing) cannot work and therefore it "may not print correctly" i.e. it may not print as intended when certain CUPS featutes are selected.

Yes. You are correct. This is the same problem I see. Thanks -- Peter Nixon http://peternixon.net/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
