I have found that as I learn more about Linux, I find experts here who know that much more than I. It is certainly this list that keeps me on the S.u.S.E. subscription list. I don't mind paying the money for the distribution. I believe it helps S.u.S.E. and Linux grow. If I remember correctly I have been using Linux for four months. I have an NT boot on this system that I rarely use anymore. When I port Mathematica over, and find an office product that is extensively compatible with M$ Office, I may slick the wasted NT partition and put it to good use.
$35 for 600MB worth of apps and documentation? The best Linux deal I've found. And, unlike Red Hat, they're not releasing the errata, patches and bug fixes the day after they release the distribution. Finally, the pamphlet they include with Red Hat is no match for the SuSE book, even if the English is broken in places.
We are working on this. I'm not sure if we'll have a better manual for the 5.3, but the 6.0 manual will definitly be edited by an anerican native english speaker. If you call our hotline you'll talk with me and as i'M living in the US now, my english will get better too (at least I hope...:) Ciao, BB -- Bodo Bauer S.u.S.E., LLC fon +1-510-835 7873 bb@suse.de 458 Santa Clara Avenue fax +1-510-835 7875 <A HREF="http://www.suse.com"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com</A">http://www.suse.com Oakland CA, 94610 USA - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
