I still use acroread. I see no alternative for certain jobs :-(
Yeah, I'm beginning to agree. I just wanted to give Okular a chance after that lengthy discussion we had last year (I think it was). It's been working okay sofar, with a few annoying quirks.
Viewing and printing usually works. But invoices and such, where one needs to verify the signature, requires Acroread. Forms work partially. Some complicated pages, perhaps with security features as perhaps stamps (guessing here) maybe not.
Incidentally, I test envelope printing using A4 paper cut to envelope size ;-)
I dont't need to, envelopes are standard sizes (in my case C5). Sure, for new stuff I would also runs some test runs, but we've been printing stamps on envelopes for 4-5 years.
Not today .-P Sorry, couldn't resist.
No, restarting cups has no effect, as jobs are not deleted. You need to, either in the web interface or via CLI, to delete those pending jobs.
Sure, been there, done that. Right now, anything I print goes into "pending".
Try "lpq" or "lpq -a".
Shows "no entries".
Ow? Strange. Did you check CUPS logs? - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R.
