I installed diald to automatically dial my ISP when there is a internet outbound packet going to the ppp0 device. Problem is, it dials but wont hang up(not timing out and im using the default scripts and config file). According to the faq the only reason this would happen is a keepalive packet of sorts or a deamon sending information. So I used "tcpdump -i ppp0" to see if I can get some sort of results and kill that deamon. I found nothing, no packets going out. Then I saw something, the line droped, but it was my isp's idler kickoff so I thought I was good to go, id just depend on my ISP to kick me off. Wrong, diald when uh-oh, and dialed right back up again. any ideas? im out [------] UID: Thrawn EML: thrawn@hub.org -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
