I guess I just lied. After receiving you latest post I tried another time and it loaded all the way to Initializing the installation environment, then it hung. I wish I could get error messages. I will go and run the Windows deep memory scan which is supposed to
consume a few
hours, like the linux ones:-)
By the way, I think you mean "opensuse 13.2" rather than "suse 3.2". On the grub menu (boot screen of the installer), select the "Installation" menu entry but do not hit ENTER. Instead, type 'e'. That should put you in an edit screen to edit the boot command. Scroll down until you find a line that begins "linux" (actually "linuxefi"). Hit the END key. Then append " nomodeset" to the end of the line. Then continue booting. There will be a message on the screen telling you what key does that. This should get you into the installer. The graphics won't be good, but you can fix that after install by adding the appropriate driver (I'm guessing Nvidia). -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
