I have a client who use SuSE 9.3. We are having a little problem with Kaffeine. It does not detect the sound system. The sound system works fine, using ALSA, but Kaffeine always shows the sound as muted and it shows no channels. I have looked through the setings in kaffeine but there is not much to set, only a few general stuff. No sound settings. The xine part has sound settings, which is correct as far as I can see. I installed MPlayer and that has sound, but unfortunately MPlayer have difficulty playing VCD's, while kaffeine plays the VCD fine, but without sound. I don't know KDE very well (GNOME user), so I have no idea where to look for the problem. Any ideas?
