Hi all,
After applying security update, YaST2 start with "Cound not write server list to disk" error.
No detail messages is available.
I have searched through the net and found some users have the same problem but no solution yet.
Any help? Thanks
Hi, Was this a new installation ??? What version of SuSE are you running ??? Did you try to install the security updates as root. A little more information would help. In my case I had similar problem (IIRC) with upgrade to 8.1 The solution was to "upgrade" my pgp security keys. from the 8.0 version to 8.1 (the new keys were on CD). YOU (YaST2 Online Update) rightfully so, wouldn't let me install anything until I installed the new keys. In you case, look also at /etc/suseservers My list (for SuSE 8.2) is internally dated # Fri Nov 22 11:28:52 MET 2002 draht and /var/lib/YaST2/you/youservers Also look at /etc/sysconfig/onlineupdate: Make sure: YAST2_LOADFTPSERVER="yes" if you want the default FTP server list updated by a call from wget to www.suse.de Hope this helps, Gar -- The IETF motto is 'rough consensus and running code' Unix, POSIX and Open Systems, John S.
