Red Hat fans are unhappy with CentOS Linux being discontinued, and some are unhappy with the focus on Wayland. Before that they were unhappy with YUM being replaced with DNF.
Free software being what is is, CentOS' original founder has launched Rocky Linux the same day CentOS announced what they called a "shift in paradigm". I'm currently working on a custom version of Rocky Linux with KDE pulled in from EPEL and quite some other stuff. It's starting to look good, and it might well be my replacement for OpenSUSE Leap. It's only missing about half a dozen more exotic packages, but I can build that stuff easily from Fedora SRPMS.
