Somehow, with some DVDs, handbrake is not trascoding the closed captions.
I'm puzzled as to why.
I had to play some with options to rip some dvd of mine. I ripped all captions and all languages, but instead to .avi I had to choose .mkv as the destination. This had the result that plays on my computer with vlc, but xine had problems choosing language or caption. And my TV set refused to play them.
Well I tried that, sort of. All languages, all captions and left it at .m4v Playback with SMplayer does now have closed captions. Its seems excessive and overkill to me. I have no need for the space taken by French or Spanish. maybe I could use then for 'language instruction'?
