Hi When starting gmm I get a login window OK but then it gives a message:
Couldn't connect to Google Play Check your Internet connection and try again
The only other option is a Retry button which doesn't help much as I get the same error. Launching at the cli doesn't give any messages.
I can upload files and work normally in a brower.
Can anyone help?
In the task bar right click the Music Manager Icon and select diagnostics. Music Manager is meant to run in the task bar, with an icon that looks like headphones. Right Click Music manager icon Click options Select Advanced tab Make sure you are logged in correctly. Check Firewall. (just turn it off for now) Next do a netstat: (as root) netstat -anp |grep -i google You should see something like the following if Mucic Manager connects properly: unix 2 [ ACC ] STREAM LISTENING 2315499 16877/chrome --prof /tmp/.com.google.Chrome.xxxxxx/SingletonSocket unix 2 [ ACC ] STREAM LISTENING 2378747 18256/google-musicm /tmp/qtsingleapp-Google-xxxx-3e8 unix 3 [ ] STREAM CONNECTED 2379033 18256/google-musicm unix 3 [ ] STREAM CONNECTED 2378745 18256/google-musicm unix 3 [ ] STREAM CONNECTED 2378638 18256/google-musicm unix 3 [ ] STREAM CONNECTED 2384794 18256/google-musicm Possible other things to check: Are you using Two Factor Authentication on your Google account? You may have to generate a custom application password, although with the latest version of music Manager I did not have to do that, it requested an authentication token from my Google authenticator app on my phone. -- After all is said and done, more is said than done. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
