Or switch the system to Ubuntu (9.04), my lappy with an ATI card and 3d stuff works just fine.
Is it an HD3100 chipset?!
No, it's a Radeon Express 1100 card.
That's a much newer chipset, if I remember correctly. The HD3100 is STILL being used in new computers "on the shelf" today, but ATI decided the was one of the "old" chipsets. I'm growing more anti-ATI/AMD by the day. :( Fred -- "A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government." --George Washington -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
