My questions are based on the roadmap. It appears the RC1 will be availabe for download. I just wanted someone who actually downloaded it during 10.1 or who is an engineer to verify my reading. Do you know Kenneth? -----Original Message----- From: Kenneth Schneider [mailto:suse-list3@bout-tyme.net] Sent: Sunday, October 29, 2006 10:29 AM To: opensuse@opensuse.org Subject: Re: [opensuse] 10.2 release schedule questions On Sat, 2006-10-28 at 19:31 -0400, Gomez, Daniel wrote:
Hello,
I have a few questions regarding the 10.2 release schedule.
Will the RC1 also be available for download and testing?
It appears the GM release on Nov. 30 will not be released on public ftp. Is this correct? Will the GM be availabe for purchase?
Will the basic network installation structure be established by then so that autoyast installation files built against the RC1 release will
work when pointed to a fresh Dec 7 ftp download?
These questions will help me understand how valid internal software and configuration tests will be in comparison to the final release and
how quickly one could deploy with confidence that what worked in the beta and RC images will continue to work in the final image.
