michael,
I also recently purchased/installed office99... as a previous user of applix, I was looking to dump ms office, but wasn't impressed with the hard linkage of applix and SuSE install... I have just loaded it, and not on my desktop, so I haven't had time to play with it yet...
anyone else have comments on office99?

Hi- Just one other small discussion factoid. I bought applix 4.4.1 initially direct from applix as an upgrade to my 4.37 and running that on SuSE presented some problems with the upgrade and some directories. I then decided to purchase the entire version and yast installed it quite easily. I do notice that yast reports a bunch of unsolved dependencies when I put the suse cd 1 in but there are none with the office99 cd. The susefax thing is plain neat and I love the interface. Has anyone used arkeia (sp) on a standalone system with a exabyte 8mm tape drive? I also have bru2000 both character and x based. So just curious there. I think suse needs to rethink slightly the install process of the office stuff it bundles. It would make more sense to have some subset of yast to run with the office and it would appear that office has some specialized installation tool. Thats just a comment on the overall install process. Thats a minor gripe I think. I would love to hear comments on applix data and using adabas D. Anyone?
