Hi,
I am not able to download VLC media player using *YaST*. I got a good link - http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-suse.html
I went YaST -> Software -> Software Management ( double clicked). But it is not opening for me. I am using openSUSE 13.1.
and packman as repository
How to ad this ? ( I am just 3 days in openSUSE )
The one click install will offer you the option of setting up the VLC repository as well as simply installing VLC. But if you've installed the VLC with the one-click install then the issue of the repository in order to install VLC become a non issue :-)
and use YaST (*in yast* go to software management and search for vlc)
As I said *software management* is not opening even if I double clicked on it.
What do you mean by that? Where did you click on it? If I want to start the software manager and nothing else I don't visit a web page. I click on the start menu, (bottom left of bar), choose 'computer', then 'install/remove software'. I use KDE; I think its similar in the other desktop; I've use LXDE but not gnome. -- Human history becomes more and more a race between education and catastrophe. --H. G.
