I know man documents can be hard to understand, but if you do a: man dmesg, and while your in the man document you search for the "-x" option that is type "/-x" and hit enter... It tells you what the -x option does to the dmesg output... Perhaps what your trying to ask is something like: What are these things that "man dmesg" calls "facility and level (priority) number"? I don't know if anyone will tell us.
