I have Suse on my Libretto when I put the machine into standby and later restart the machine either hangs or I basically cannot restart Kde until I reboot is this normal, are there any work arounds?
This sounds like my (and also others) problem with X. X has to reinit the vga card after return from suspend. (Linux on text console is still running perfect). I have no final solution, but a often usefull workaround is: if you change the resolution, the server will reconfigure the adaptor, so change it one step up and down (alt/crtl [+],alt/crtl [-]) may help.
