[opensuse] Leap 15 / Plasma issue

Don't know why but somehow my plasma desktop dropped all but one of the icons. It is like I have switched to another desktop with only one icon on it.... the ~HOME/Desktop directory shows all are there EXCEPT the one being displayed. This has to be some stupidly easy fix but as yet I have not found it. Maybe someone more fluent in Plasma can point me the way.
