.config kernel file. ¿where is it?

Hi! I'm using SuSE 8.2 and I'm tring to install the emu10k1 sound driver. I have installed the kernel sources form the suse cd but for any reason that i don't know, I can't find the .config file (in usr/src/linux/ doesn't seems to be). Any ideas where I can find this file? Thanks, Oscar
