Hi,
I'm using openSUSE 13.1, on my 32 bit machine. I need to work with OpenOffice document. But I'm not getting any software for my version of SUSE. I checked here - https://en.opensuse.org/OpenOffice.org. Nothing I found for 13.1. I got one link - http://www.itzgeek.com/how-tos/linux/opensuse/how-to-install-openoffice-org-... , but it is for 12.1. Is there any repository through which I can get it in 13.1 ? I tried to search through zypper also, but didn't get it as I don't have the repo added for the OpenOffice software.
I download the RPM package from http://www.openoffice.org/download/index.html. However, this requires manually installing all the individual RPMs, but it does work. Could you confirm the the steps mentioned in the link, I have given are what you did in your case. I'm actually always used _zypper_ and YAST all the time. So getting panicked to do it manually. :)
On the other hand, openSUSE includes LibreOffice, which generally does what OpenOffice does. You may want to consider it.
I have it already. But I found some docs are being rendered in OpenOffice format perfectly but not in the case of LibreOffice. -- ================ Regards, Arup Rakshit ================ Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place.
