Hi, I installed on my new T61p openSuse 10.3. Not exactly "out of the box" but it works.
My R61 does work quite nicely: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Installing_OpenSUSE_10.3_on_a_ThinkPad_R61
1. When wired I can get connected to internet, but when tried wireless - I can't.
Which wireless card does your ThinkPad have installed? And which driver is used? I assume a Intel 4965 and, thus, iwl4965, but check this via "hwinfo --wlan" as root.
I can see all networks around my house and when tried to connect mine - can't? [...]
Are you able to see your network? Or did you hide it? If so, are you using encryption?
2. When connect USB drive get error message: "hal-storage-removable no <(action, result)" On google I found it's (was?) a bug. Fixs I don't understand. One mentioned as fix Yast > System > /etc/sysconfig Editor > System > Boot > RUN_PARALEL set as NO ?!?!?!
What does "rcconsolekit status" as root say?
