just noticed that /etc/texmf/ls-R conatins lines like updmap.cfg.rpmsave and similar trash. I doubt this is wanted. Is it worth to bug report this?
They is not trash, They are config files the were saved by YaST during software updates.
Actually they are backups of config files and shouldn't be used.
Sometimes they have to be used, the new config doesn't have your changes. So you have to take a look and decide. However, the file belongs to a package: cer@minas-tirith:~> rpm -qf /etc/texmf/ls-R texlive-2010-4.6.noarch and it should not contain lines referring any rpmsave file, that's a packaging error, although probably harmless. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E.
