You'll never get the same kind of overall desktop environs in WM or E or ANY window manager as you do with something like gnome or kde because these programs are only meant to effect the LOOK of windows and aren't complete desktop environments. Gnome and KDE are NOT >window managers ( thought some come with native window managers ) but but are meant to be a complete application suite. I know there are some on this list that have said there is not difference. But there IS. I agree with ya there. If you simply look at the size of the downloads you would agree also. E, Afterstep, WM etc., all are relatively small compared to GNOME and KDE. They both have window managers included but
they are far much more than that. With the addition of KOffice, KDE is becoming a complete desktop system of its own.
