I think I need a YAST/mouse expert! I have been trying to configure the SuSE mouse via the YAST control panels and am now encountering a serious setback. Let me start out by saying that I was trying to experiment with setting the mouse driver to one of the USB versions available in the hopes of finding one that would allow the thumb wheel of my mouse to work. I have not been able to get it working since upgrading to SuSE9.2 from SuSE9.1 where it had been working fine. My mouse for my laptop is actually a Micro Innovations wireless optical mouse, but there is no driver listed for it in the set of mouse drivers shown by YAST, so I was just trying to experiment an find out if one of the others would work. Anywise, I have not had success, but now I am encountering another new problem, I cannot even open the mouse panel within YAST. The moment it trys to show the list of possible mouse types, I get an immediate reboot of my laptop! BOOM! No chance to change the selection, this happens immediately. Can someone get me out of this mess? If I knew what underlying files YAST touches, maybe I could try editing them directly, but I also need to know what the settings and parameters are that I could change... Any help would be much appreciated, it is rather hard to run a laptop without a mouse!! Believe me!!! Linux needs some help in this area also.... Marc...
