Pardon my ignorance, but what options do I need to include in /etc/fstab to mount an ISO image as an accessible read device? I suspect there will be a ro in it somewhere, right?
/dev/sda9/cd1.iso /installcds/1 ??? ???,ro 0 0
/dev/sda9/cd1.iso /installcds/1 auto loop,ro 0 0
This won't work... /path/to/cd1.iso /installcds/CD1 auto auto, loop 0 0 ^^^ See my other mail about loopback-mounting yesterday for the "CD1".."CD4" path component. One more: If you have an encrypted partition in /etc/cryptotab, assign a higher-numbered loop device to it. The fstab entries will use the first available loop devices. (As an alternative, use "auto,loop=/dev/loop5" in fstab if you don't want to change your cryptotab.)
