No device information.... The phenomenon you described about video play is very similar to the phenomenon that occurs when there is too little VRAM. So I asked you to run the inxi command. Then. I asked Google, and it said that the VRAM of the MGA G200EH is 16MB, but if that's the case, smooth video playback is impossible. The Matrox video card has supported me as an OS/2 user for nearly 10 years, so I thought I'd see if I could do something about it...
