[opensuse] trying to boot from External Intenso USB Hard Disk

Hello List, - in case of interest : have Intenso 2.5 inch 320 GB External USB Hard Disk ............. after doing : mount /dev/sdc4 /mnt mount -o bind /proc /mnt/proc mount -o bind /sys /mnt/sys mount -o bind /dev /mnt/dev chroot /mnt - i next edited /etc/fstab to have root on /dev/sdc4 & then used Yast to install Grub2 as boot loader ............ after several attempts, have not yet succeeded to boot the Intenso external usb disk - maybe it's just not possible? thanks ......... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
