I'm running FF 55.0.1 64-bit under opensuse 42.2. This happens with a number of kernels.
The middle, the descriptive, illustrative part of the ebay pages is missing. It happens wherever I'm logged in or not for all pages.
The framing, the top, the pricing, and the scrollable alternative at the bottom are visible. That tabs for 'description' and 'shipping' are there and if I press the 'shipping" tab all the shipping info and stuff is there as I'd expect.
But if I press the 'description' tab I get the box "Item Description" and the table there in but below that just BLANK SPACE where there should be further illustrations and description, all the way down, scroll, scroll scroll, until the "Questions and answers about this item".
It didn't used to be like this.
If I try Chromium or Qupizilla or Konqueror there isn't this blank space.
In the mean time I've regressed to 52.3 but its not making a lot of difference. There is still the 'missing middle'.
So I'm now back to 45.8 to and the 'middle is no longer missing.
That broke a whole pile of plugins that only worked with later versions, so I'm going to work my way forward disabling those each in turn singly.
TOMORROW! I've seen FF extensions create this type of behavior before; for instance, Privacy Badger was breaking certain pages even when selecting "Disable Privacy Badger for This Site". I've also seen situations where two extensions were creating a similar problem with a page not being rendered properly which can make troubleshooting difficult when you start disabling extensions one by one and thought you had it narrowed down to only one extension. You can try running FF from a terminal in safe mode and see if the problem resolves or not: `firefox -safe-mode`
As a side note, no problem here with eBay pages being rendered properly with FF 52.3.0 on Leap 42.3. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
