Are there incompatibilities between e2fsprogs 1.42.7 (.7 = the latest version) and OpenSuSE?
The reason I ask: e2fsprogs .7 is out for a while and exists for all major distributions - except OpenSuSE. Key packages like this usually appear in the OpenSuSE package search fairly quickly, but not this one. So I wonder: Is there a technical reason for that?
Background: I have a 19TB ext4 file system with bigalloc that I need to resize to 23TB. e2fsprogs 1.42.6 has a bug in the resize tool that corrupts the file system when resizing.
In this case you should open bug report referring to upstream bugzilla or patch. Depending on how severe this bug is, it may even be possible for it to be included in 12.3 or at least in updates to 12.3 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
