I'm up to date on patches.. It doesn't matter whether I start klipper from the command line or the menu, it doesn't produce the entry in the system tray that it once did. Oh, and the volume control too. Actually, even if it did, I'm not sure it would help, because the KDE4 shutdown is not saving the session properly; I keep getting the session from last week. Its a good thing I'm using Thunderbird and Firefox and they save state separately. None of my KDE4 settings are sticking around. If I rename my virtual desktops the names go away when I log out. The same with tabs in Konqueror; when I log in I get the ones from last week's session. Phonon settings ... the list goes on. -- It is an error to imagine that evolution signifies a constant tendency to increased perfection. That process undoubtedly involves a constant remodelling of the organism in adaptation to new conditions; but it depends on the nature of those conditions whether the directions of the modifications effected shall be upward or downward.
