[opensuse] Can't Shut Down

On my son's laptop, I wanted to shut down the system tonight. He's running 11.1 with KDE 3.x on a Dell D800. I go to Geeko > Leave. There's only the option of "Logout" and "Lock". What happened to the other options - Shutdown/Restart/Suspend (disk/ram) and Start Other Operating System? (Those are options on my laptop.)
