Indeed it is where it should be. In that case, I would (and did actually) download the newest 64 bit beta at http://download.macromedia.com/pub/labs/flashplayer10/libflashplayer-10.0.d2... Then, uninstall the present, first via nspluginwrapper, i.e. nspluginwrapper -r /usr/lib64/browser-plugins/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so , then rpm -e flash-player to uninstall the 32 bit version. Afterward, copy the file libflashplayer.so from the tar.gz file to /usr/lib64/browser-plugins, and make sure the permissions are 755. As far as I know, there is no rpm for this yet, so this is the "manual" install. If Firefox was open, restart it and check it via the Tools Add Ons Plugins. It is working great here. HTH.
I did exactly all this, and the plugin is there (Shockwave Flash 10.0 d21) and I can watch youtube etc video, but _no audio_. Audio with Real Player and webradio works. Running OpenSUSE 10.3 86x_64, with the YaST installed FF 3.0.5 (64 Bit) and Flash as mentioned above. I tried FF 3.1 b2 also, but the plugin does not show, just a default plugin. FF 3.1 b2 starts with http://en-us.www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.1b2/whatsnew/ which says: * Use the new Private Browsing Mode and the updated Clear Recent History function (in the Tools menu) to keep your holiday shopping a secret. * Tear tabs off the tab bar to create new windows, and drag and drop them from one Firefox window to another. * Control the Smart Location Bar results with special characters <http://ed.agadak.net/2008/07/firefox-31-restricts-matches-keywords>. * Watch a video <http://tinyvid.tv/show/3d198wqepg78m> in your browser without needing any plugins or external media players. The last one "Watch a video ..." does not work either. :-( Al Al -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
