Hi, I did a zypper dup on my computer the other day and as best I can remember the following were updated:
kernel-default kernel-default-devel kernel-devel kernel-source kernel-kmp kernel-firmware
Now, the cooling fan on my laptop doesn't work at any temperature.
I had been running the latest kernel-3.0 rc from kernel head, now I am back to a 2.6.37 kernel after the update. I have looked in the Kernel:Head repository and don't find the previous release candidate kernel rpms available anymore, it seems they have been erased.
Is there any chance that the kernel guys that maintain the repo could repost the latest kernel rc with the previous stuff that makes the fans work back to the reppositories so that I can reinstall them and get my cooling fan working on my laptop again?
i think some changes took / are taking place in the Kernel:/Head repos. the 3.0.rc kernels are in Kernel:/HEAD/standard now (http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/HEAD/standard/) -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
