I doubt you will ever see the "fake" raid that is on these boards ever supported.
Of cause it's supported by dmraid! For dmraid to work, it only needs to know the on-disk layout of the RAID arrays created in BIOS. The rest is done by the sofware RAID support in in the kernel.
