When I boot up and try to play an audio cd, no sound. Mp3 player and midi player both work however, and if I try to play an audio cd AFTER using either of those the cd then has sound also. The same problem occurs with four different cd player programs, so it isnt a buggy cd player. Any idea what the problem could be and how to fix it? Thanks in advance
Try to insmod sound.o befor you try to play a CD. Seems you have modular sound support, and your sound card needs to be initialized to use the CD player.
